To accelerate Mountain America’s growth in Arizona, we strategically shifted focus from visibility to active participation—using sponsorships to embed the brand into the experiences members care about most. A new partnership with the Phoenix Suns paired two custom debit and credit card designs with community initiatives such as Little Libraries, aligning Mountain America with a franchise deeply rooted in local pride and impact.

The campaign transformed Suns fandom into a daily brand touchpoint. Two Phoenix Suns–branded card designs anchored a broad rollout that included athlete media day content, team-member events, youth sports camps, and in-arena activations. Working across both brand systems, my team delivered digital content, stadium signage, and a motion spot that brought the new card designs to life.

The results were both immediate and measurable. Brand awareness increased across Arizona, membership grew 32% year over year, and adoption of flagship MyStyle Checking accounts rose—demonstrating how community-first sponsorships can translate directly into business growth.
